I once gave birth
to a garden nymph
so pretty
and golden
was she.
Her will was strong
her voice was a song
and she came
to life
by the sea.
In the grasses she dances
and creates safe encampments
for the fairies
the cats
and the birds.
At night she asks questions
and sets her intentions
for horses
and kittens
in herds.
If only I knew
how to make them come true
but a human
I am
after all.
I simply agree
pull her closer to me
and envision
me breaking
her fall.
